This workshop – Small Pretty Things – was the first of the year and what a way to start the workshop series off!!
It’s taken me a while to get this post up but I wanted to include some action shots as well as final vessel shots as they came out of the kiln.
While these girls claimed to know nothing much about clay, I was amazed at what they made and how committed they were to learning and extending the hand-building skills. We worked with slabs, coils and pinching and experimented with quite a few decoration techniques too.
It was such a good time together. Having the workshop on Friday night seemed to be the perfect way to wind down after a big working week for us all.
Thank you so much K, M, A, and G – it was an absolute pleasure to work with each of you, see you embrace the processes and simply witness the smile on your faces as you realised how talented and creative you are!

With a big smile for you, Rachel
It is very interesting to view the process and the variety of work produced!
Thanks so much for your comment. I really loved seeing how the girls really invested in the processes.
It was a fantastic workshop with some excellent vessels made!
Wow, looks like a whole bunch of fun was had by all! 🙂
I think so too Caroline! Thanks for your comment 🙂
