From 72 submissions (from 16 countries), 25 spoons were selected by Vipoo Srivilasa, Vicki Grima (editor of The Journal of Australian Ceramics) and Leslie Ferrin (curator of Ceramic Top 40) and are currently exhibited as a group, in the second venue of Ceramic Top 40 | New & Selected Works at Harvard Ceramics in Allston, Massachusetts, USA.
Including my spoon! It’s ridiculously exciting to see my name listed in this exhibition….
“25 spoons from these 2014 finalists will be on exhibit:
Tinne Maria Andersen, Marta Armada, Elaine Bolt, Jim Bov’e, Meredith Brickell, Joey Chiarello, Kris Coad, Rachel Cramer, Sally Curry, Trisha Dean, Carole Epp, Klaus Gutowski, Evan Hobart, Vanessa Holle, Nayoung Im, Sukumarl Leksawat, Steven Low Thai Kwan, Miro Mackiewicz, Fiona McDonald, Creina Moore, Jo Quirk, Bonnie Smith, Leilani Trinka, Gerry Wedd, Snow Yu”
[If you click here, the Ferrin Contemporary site will open and when you scroll right down to the bottom of the page, you’ll see the list there!!]
If you’ve missed my previous post about my spoon, here’s a quick link to that and it explains how the Hunger Games series inspired it.
Also, if you’d like to check out the other spoons and won’t be visiting Massachusetts before August 16th (oh, and if anyone wants to fly me there to see the exhibition with my own eyes, that’s totally okay :P), head to Vipoo’s site to view all the selected entries!
With a big smile for you, Rachel.
