Hello for the first time in 2014!
If I can share a little secret here with you, I must confess that I feel a little slow off the blocks in starting this new year. The upside is that I’ve enjoyed a very special Christmas and New Years season with family and given that we’ve still visiting with them, I’m soaking up this holiday time.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m itching to get back into the studio and have received some new orders which I’m very excited to fulfil but being physically away from the studio is absolutely refreshing. Having a home studio has many benefits but its presence at home can sometimes loom over me, pulling me back in when really, at 9pm, I should be curled up with a book on the couch.
I’m hoping to carve out a bit of time next week, dedicating it to a review of 2013 – what worked, what didn’t, the highlights, the biggest frustrations, what processes I need to refine and identifying what things are holding me back.
I have some big dreams that I’d love to see blossom (or at least sprout) in 2014. Finding space to unpack these dreams is really important to me and I look forward to mapping them out, discovering where the year could take me.
Guided by the intention to love others, this year could go in so many directions….
I hope your year has started well and that you’ve taken the time to think about how you want 2014 to stand out in your life.
With a big smile to you, Rachel
