Paper Boat Press’ In my hand – inaugural group show
[Click on the images to view in slideshow]
A dream of Paper Boat Press owner, Kylie Johnson has now become reality – a group show based on her poem ‘in my hand I had a kingdom, in my hand i had yours.’
Including local, interstate and international artists, each contributed works which fit into a hand span.
I was especially drawn to Uranishi, Orland and Austin’s works. Austin’s stood out from the others in form and materiality; Orland’s translucent porcelain teacups were delicate with soft textural patterns; Uranishi’s porcelain structures with minimal decoration and sense of space.
Sorry I didn’t get photos of all the artists’ contributions… i’m easily distracted 😛
Open til August 10th, In My Hand is well worth the visit.
Ohhh I couldn’t come to this one, will have to check it out before it closes, I’m a big fan of Erin’s work and from your photos, I can see a few more artists to admire 🙂 wonderful work abounds!! Thanks for sharing Rachel
